TO ALL MMM2 CHALLENGERS; I'D LIKE TO SHARE THIS WITH YOU

Today my wife and I were listening to Dan Kuschell, a great motivational speaker for a prosperous life; and I would like to summarize his philosophy with you.  His challenge to you is to write down 25 items you want in life.  Look at it this way; if money was not an obstacle and someone gave you a gift of $25,000,000.00, what would you do with the money?  Think about it seriously; for this is the basis of his premise.  At first you may not be able to come up with 25, but some may.  If the 25 were too easy; then write 50 and so on.

PROSPERITY IS A CHOICE - YOU CAN LIVE LIKE A CHAMPION:

C-Commitment-What are you committed to

H-Higher Priority Living-Living a balanced life-God, Family, Health and Work

A-Action-Commitment precedes a Miracle and Determines Your Destiny

M-Mentor(S)-People with Positive Experiences and Results You Want in life-MMM2 Challenge

P-Purpose-Live with Purpose

I-Invest in Yourself-You are the Best Investment in Yourself-Money and Time are not the Issues-It is a Measurement of Value

O-Opportunity Seeker-Be open to it-Opportunity DOES NOT mean the next shiny object

N-Never Quit-On Yourself and You're Dreams

FINANCIAL:

Money you bring into your life is what you have now-Live the following way 10-10-3-7-70:

10%-Pay Yourself first

10%-Give it away; whether it is a tithe or to a charity or whatever purpose

3%-Improve Yourself-Self-Improvement Education

7%-Spoil Yourself-All work and no play makes a very unhappy person

70%-Live BELOW YOUR MEANS

Dan relayed this story:  There were 3 angels who were told to hide LOVE.  The first angel flew to the highest mountain top and buried it under a rock; where no one would look for  it.  The second angel flew to the bottom of the sea and hid it in the sand; where no one would look for it.   The third angel hid it in the Best possible place; in the hearts of man; where no one would look for it.  Use this new-found awareness to live a life of gratitude, happiness and peace.  Offer more of yourself and offer more value; live the life of a Champion.

Where will you be tomorrow or five years from now?  What could you have been; had you lived the life of a Champion?  Prosperity is a consciousness.  Learn from experience; yours and others.  Ask a lot of questions.  It is said that Knowledge is Power; however, it is how you utilize the knowledge that you have obtained, that is your power.  Don't say, "I know that!"  Visualize the challenge put before you at the beginning of this message.  It is the Ability to Replace Ignorance with Enlightenment!!  Would you want to be someone else; or at the end of the day, would you want to be YOU at you fullest potential?  Many people would settle for mediocrity; however, it takes as much time to be productive and live your life to the fullest, as it does to live a mediocre life.

Jim Gleason's Note:  I know all the Challengers deserve the Best Life Possible.  Thanks for allowing me to share this with you.

Great post, Jim. I really enjoyed how you pointed out that it takes the same amount of time to live a mediocre life as it does to live a productive life. Glad to have you as a part of the community!

Nice blog post. I would take the 70%-Live BELOW YOUR MEANS and make it 60%, because I would take the other 10% and invest it in mutual funds etc. for the sole purpose of being able to continue to give much more to charities over the long haul.

Nice rules to live by though I disagree with your first two allocations. As for me - Give God His due FIRST and let the remaining 90% be blessed. It is He that gives us the power to get wealth. He is Lord of the First, always and forever. I know from personal experience, even when you are gifted and do everything right from a human level, you have no guarantee of success. I now make sure that heaven is behind my efforts and that I am in a position to make demands based on my covenant rights.

Jim, Dan Kuschell doesn't have a clue how quickly I can spend $25M--give me 6 months or less:) for diversification purposes, I'd split it into 5 piles, select 5 top proven commercial investors and partner with them to buy distressed properties at deep discount, or functional properties with cap rate 10 or more. That would probably leave me about $1M after taxes to spend--pretty manageable as any jackpot winner can tell you. The only difference is that unlike most lotto winners , I won't be broke in an year;) Then I can apply your ratios, but because the pie is bigger, I can halve the numbers, which will leave the other half for re-investing and growth. Problem solved! That was an easy one, we have a more difficult: start with $0 and get to $25M;)

Thanks for the free quickie seminar, Jim! Can you produce a better solution than mine?
  • James M Gleason-Millionaire in Training,MMMChallenge.com
Vlad, the post wasn't meant to see how fast you can spend money. I know your perspectives always come in a different manner. It is for all to decide how they are to procede. The post was meant to share and encourage. Whatever positive aspects anyone derives from the post was well worth my posting this. I appreciate your response and I know we have a common understanding. I'm not here to provide your solutions; but to add perspective. If yours works for you; then great. Go for it. Thanks to all who have read and posted comments.

That blog makes ya think.... hmmm. Was that the purpose? Kidding.
Jim, just wanted to drop by to wish you well in the quest for the Three Dozen. Sounds like a movie title... but now that we're in the eleventh hour, I'm running around to everyone in "the 70" so as not to appear artificially inflating my forum count. Hope that makes sense... in any case, keep the faith. All the best, Mark in Birmingham
