Here is why Denise Brunke WILL be one of the Lucky 36 MMM Challenge Students
My show of appreciation is the
1st order of business.
Thank you Rick and Danny and to all of your wonderfully gifted and talented (and patient) Directors for this awesome opportunity of a lifetime.
I put the word 'Lucky' in the heading to show I can follow directions. But with no disrespect,
"Success in real estate investing is no more about luck than is success in anything else in life.
You can't plan on luck, rely on it, or predict it.
It is by definition beyond your control.
That's what luck is, and the best investors,
the tried and true champs,
don't count on luck showing up.
Through the use of proven strategies and time-tested
models, they make luck unnecessary - they take it out of the game."
~ The Millionaire Real Estate Investor
by Gary Keller
If I believed in luck, it would take my Higher Power out of the equation.
God should always be thought of as the cause of blessings, not luck.
I have this magnet on my fridge:
NEVER NEVER NEVER GIVE UP
~ Winston Churchill
I'm forced to look at it everyday, and I like it like that.
Hebrews 13 tells us to be content with what we have, but I believe God also puts something in our hearts that tells us not to be lackadaisical - which means lacking life, spirit and zest.
I think we SHOULD strive for more. You have the right to achieve your dreams and no one can take that away from you.
I knew the first step toward achieving my dreams was to try something different.
"The definition of Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results"
~ Einstein
So my friend introduces me to the MLM business.
I worked so hard at it, but my 'upline' couldn't help me, and no one else had the time to show me the ropes either. However, during the meetings, the speakers would share with us books that inspired them.
This is when I learned about the CashFlow Quadrant.

While most start with reading Robert Kiyosaki's
"Rich Dad Poor Dad", I began with "Rich Woman",
by Kim Kiyosaki, Robert's wife. Ha!
Before I finished that book, I knew I was on my way.
Of course I read his books along with Napoleon Hill, and many others.

(thank you Rick and Danny + Directors
for this opportunity)
After MLM, another friend invited me to a GA REIA
event, where I heard James Smith speak.
I was so enamored with what he had to say,
I signed up for his 3 day seminar here in the ATL,
and then that led to a 7 day seminar in Las Vegas.
James Smith is a great guy with a great team and a great message, and I loved the experience, but there were 500 people in a huge Ballroom in a classroom setting. The information was overwhelming. At the end of the week, the final message was 'Just Go Do It'.
You don't even want to know what kind of $$$$
I spent for that 'experience'.
Then I moved on to other seminars like Robert Allen's. I signed up for his Success Network, but with no success - I was paying for online tutorials!
The teleseminars left me empty.
The Webinars are much more exciting, and the new product launches promise a tremendous boost for your business, but I could never afford them.
I finally attended a 3 day Foreclosure Seminar that at the very least gave me direction and insight.
My eyes were opened to Wholesaling.
I had thought about wholesaling from previous seminars,
but now I KNEW this is where I wanted to go.
Meet Preston Ely. (He's a pretty cool dude, too)
I loved his Wholesaling course, but he wasn't holding my hand! Can you believe it??
I'll tell you what he did do for me though;
he brought to my attention that there are
31 Chapters in the Book of Proverbs.
For each day of the month, you can read that day's designated chapter.
Back on March 11th, I read Proverbs 11, and verses 24-25 stuck out.
24) It is possible to give freely and
become more wealthy,
but those who are stingy will lose everything.
25) The generous prosper and are satisfied,
those who refresh others will themselves
be refreshed.
(thank you Rick and Danny + Directors)
On March 19th, I read Proverbs 19, and I love v 17.
17) If you help the poor, you are lending to the Lord
-- and He will repay you!
(thank you Rick and Danny + Directors)
Really, what is your life worth if you don't GIVE BACK?
Where would the world be if we ALL had the
PAY IT FORWARD mentality?
GIVING conquers GREED.
On March 24th, I read Proverbs 24.
5) A wise man is mightier than a strong man,
and a man of knowledge is more powerful
than a strong man.
6) So don't go to war without wise guidance;
victory depends on having many counselors.
(thank you Rick and Danny + Directors)
The Proverbs come from Solomon, and he is well known for his WISDOM.
Even he believed in Mentors!
Ok, so now we all have to have our "WHY".
I'm about to leave my comfort zone......
Back around 2002, I finally landed a FT job with benefits.
I went to the dentist and he sent me to an Endodontist.
The Endodontist asks me, "Do you recall any head trauma?"
I'm thinkin', yeah.... I seem to recall YEARS of head trauma - lots and lots of black eyes, broken nose...
and bloody, swollen lips. I also recall my arm broken twice, but I'm pretty sure that has nothing to do with my teeth - why do you ask, Mr Endodontist man?
He said that head trauma earlier on can result in damage years later. I needed to have 2 Root Canals done to my bottom front teeth. Great. Just when I thought I had left the atrocities behind.....
but wait - there's more -
I went on to another job with benefits, and when I went to the dentist for a check up, he informed me that I had to have Root Canals done - AGAIN - to the same 2 teeth!
I don't understand why it's so difficult to find an endodontist that will perform this procedure.
Even under my benefits at the time, the cheapest endodontist I could find who re-does root canals on the same teeth, was $800 - per tooth!
I was told that if I didn't take care of it, they could become painfully infected and the infection could spread to my heart.
That was in 2007, and one tooth is becoming discolored.....
People asked me, "why do you stay with him?"
Because I was broke.
I had nowhere to go.
I was STUCK.
At this current time I reside with a family member.
Although it's not an abusive relationship,
it's intensely strained.
But because I'm unemployed, I have nowhere to go.
I'm STUCK.
And there is my "WHY".
I don't ever, not never ever want to be STUCK ever again.
Danny told me yesterday that where I am is a very empowering position to be in -
when you're at the bottom,
you have nowhere to go but UP.
For whatever I may lack in Real Estate knowledge,
I make up for with a deep, growling HUNGER.
You wanted an UNDERDOG, right?
Ya know, I cry when I see emaciated babies on tv.
I feel helpless.
I cry when I see homeless people.
I REALLY cry when I see the commercials of abused, wounded, homeless animals on tv too,
and I feel helpless.
I cry when I think about the neglected Native Americans still on the Reservation.
I cry when I think of the devastation of the people and animals in Japan, and I feel helpless.
But crying isn't going to get me anywhere.
My vision is bigger than just getting my teeth fixed.
"Every positive change - every jump to a higher level of energy and awareness - involves a rite of passage.
To ascend to a higher rung on the ladder of personal evolution,
we must go through a period of discomfort,
of initiation.
I have never found an exception."
~ Tony Robbins
Words alone cannot possibly express the gratitude I feel in my heart to be presented with such an opportunity as this.
This is the Breakthrough I've waited for all my life.
My greatest fear is to die without having served the purpose God created me for.
I want to feel God's smile on me before I pass....
I want to do this for God's glory, not mine.
"Commit to the Lord whatever you do,
and your plans will succeed."
~ Proverbs 16:3
I'll leave you with my favorite Scripture:
"With God, ALL things are possible."
~ Matthew 19:26
God Bless you, Team Real Deal!
P.S. I'm willing to relocate
Thank you Rick and Danny and to all of your wonderfully gifted and talented (and patient) Directors for this awesome opportunity of a lifetime.

I certainly appreciate your critique, I love constructive criticism. If we don't know what we are doing wrong, then how can we possibly correct it? As fas as utilizing what I learned at the James Smith seminars.... after that week in Vegas, my head hurt. I was filled with a lot of information, I didn't know where to go with it. A few of the people on his team told me to just keep moving forward with books and seminars, and I'll eventually figure out what I want, and I'll learn. Then when I realized that I wanted to go with Wholesaling, I found Preston Ely. Just when I started to buy Bandit Signs, the word in my community was that the cops were cracking down on them, and the fines were heavy and/or jailtime. And sure enough, when one sign would go up, a day or two later that sign was gone. But undeterred, I started checking into postcards. It was right at that time that my full time job demanded more - so my real estate time became my full time job time, and that lasted about 5 months. By then I turned my interest toward a program Tim Mai had started.
I studied Step 1 to Step 7. I think I got so hung up on steps 2 - 7, that it was difficult for me to completely execute Step 1. But just as I was about to go for it, I had waited too long - I had to pack up and move that weekend and I was consumed with finding a new job, which brings me up to the present day. The real estate investors that are more knowledgeable will have no problem working on this 10 - 15 hrs/wk. I have 50 - 60 hrs/wk to learn and apply. As a matter of fact, Sam, your critique has inspired me to create a whole new Blog, which I'm going to title: " From RATS to Riches ", in which I'd like to address your concerns in greater detail, including the 'holding my hand' part. I only said that in my blog to show I have a sense of humor..... my new Blog should clear things up, and I'm working on that right now....
I admire your willingness to take critique, and use that for your growth. I can sense your frustration, but you seem to have unbreakable spirits. I am looking forward to your new blog and learn something from it. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
To your continued success!

Beautiful sharing! It's when we feel the pain of going down that we will appreciate our going up. Don't worry when you hit rock bottom, I believe God is preparing not just your mind but your heart to receive the bountiful blessings that 's already on its way for you.
